Spirit of Voyageur: Jerry Gamble Club Experience

Every year, the youth from the Jerry Gamble Club in North Minneapolis have a chance to take the 45 minute van ride out to the Voyageur, giving them a chance to experience life outside the cities for the day. As the youth get out of the van, they are amazed to see what a camp site looks like and all the fun they are about to have. This time together is an important opportunity for the youth to build relationships with their peers and the staff. The youth at Jerry Gamble are very engaged in swimming, arts and crafts, walking the trails, fishing, and canoeing. Another aspect that the youth enjoy is the opportunity to have a place of peace and relaxation. The youth love taking pictures throughout their experience and keeping those memories for a lifetime.
