This week, we had the incredible honor of watching our teens share their voice and power as changemakers. At the Timberwolves Offices, they presented their Changemaker Challenge projects, ideas rooted in finding solutions about the causes that matter most to them within their communities. We want to share one project that really captured the importance of community and nutrition.
The Little Earth Club has been running a remarkable initiative called Boys & Girls Club Bites, a program designed to support the nutritional needs of the Little Earth community, especially elders. Every week, the teens head to the grocery store, select food, and assemble bags filled with fresh ingredients. Then, they personally deliver these bags to families and elders throughout the community.
These young people are learning how nutrition fuels strong bodies and strong communities. They’re discovering the power of service, expressing care and support for members of their community, and they’re showing all of us what it looks like to take action where it matters most.
