Math Growth in Action!

At BGCTC, we know the importance of academic support year-round – not just during the school year. This summer at the John W. Hardeman III Club, we saw what’s possible when kids get individualized support in math and it’s amazing. Under the guidance of our education specialist, Delmy, many young people made real, measurable progress.

Here’s a snapshot of their growth:

  • Senaj, Kindergarten – Jumped up 12 points, moving from “some risk” to “low risk.”
  • Havana, 1st Grade – Gained 13 points, now in “low risk.”
  • Hero, 1st Grade – Improved 11 points, also moving to “low risk.”
  • Clifton, 2nd Grade – Grew by 15 points, now in “low risk.”
  • Cannon, 3rd Grade – Moved forward to the “college pathway” level.
  • Quinton, 5th Grade – Made the biggest leap of 19 points, moving from “high risk” to “some risk.”
  • Nalin, 5th Grade – Gained 7 points, moving to “some risk.”
  • Tracy, 5th Grade – Took an important step forward, gaining 2 points.

Every student grew and moved forward, with consistent support and encouragement.

We are incredibly grateful to Delmy, and all our education specialists, for creating a space where kids feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and try again.

Our Success Ahead campaign is all about making sure kids have the tools, mentors, and programs they need to not just keep up, but move ahead.
