With grant funding and volunteer support from the Saint Paul Garden Club, our East Side Club created a beautiful garden space to honor the memory of East Side youth that have passed away and to support the hopes and dreams of today’s youth. The garden is located in the front yard of the Club and highlights three themed sections: Remembrance and Honoring, Community Healing, and Raising Hope. The kids have taken great pride in developing and working on this project, particularly through the challenges of the last year. *Nick attends the East Side Club and says that “just as the bees and butterflies affect the plants, so did the former members for the Club”. The Memorial Garden is a green space for reflection, healing, and hope. This project is just one of many ways that the Clubs support the emotional health of young people.
