Eighth-grader Chelsea* has been a member of the Jerry Gamble Club since 2016. Since joining the Club, Chelsea has been able to make lots of new friends, socialize, and develop more confidence. One of her favorite parts of attending the Club is the opportunity to go on field trips and try interesting new things. She also loves playing video games with friends in the game room and participating in educational activities in Ms. Kelsey’s room.
Throughout the state’s closures due to COVID-19, Chelsea has been able to get support from Club staff through virtual programming, homework help, and wellness checks for her family. Chelsea was also happy to return to our in-person fall session at Jerry Gamble, where she is working hard to keep up with her distance learning.
