Art that Heals: Be Part of their Journey

When words aren’t enough, art can speak.

Satiza, a teen at our Al Lenzmeier West Side Club, saw her peers struggling with mental health and wanted to make a difference. She created A.R.T.E. (Art, Reflect, Talk, and Empower) – a program that gives young people a safe space to express emotions, heal through creativity, and find the courage to seek support. Over the past year, Satiza has led guided art projects and organized community events, proving that one teen’s vision can spark hope for many.

And this fall, we expanded that vision through Art of Being Me, a partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Teens receive art therapy kits, explore mental wellness during personalized museum tours, and come together to create murals led by an art therapist. These experiences aren’t just about art, they’re about belonging, confidence, and resilience.

Your gift makes this possible. With your support, we can create spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and inspired—because every young person deserves the chance to shine.
