Located at the heart of BGCTC’s Voyageur Environmental Learning Center (VEC) property is a breathtaking waterfront area nestled on beautiful Little Long Lake in Mound, Minnesota. This waterfront area is a core component of environmental education programming and waterfront recreation for VEC. This summer, we’re thrilled to announce a major upgrade to this space — a brand-new and expanded dock system! The new dock significantly enhances safety and ensures a more enjoyable experience for all campers, especially those experiencing waterfront activities for the first time.
With expanded space, the new dock allows everyone to fish together and increases the swimming area by 50%. This upgrade also enriches our aquatic studies program, providing greater opportunities to observe aquatic critters and plants up close.
