The Little Earth Boys & Girls Club took an overnight trip to Voyageur this spring, with 20 Club youth and staff members. Their time at Voyageur was fun, refreshing, and intentional: Club youth talked through important issues they are facing today by participating in deep discussion circles, hiking the Voyageur trails, playing volleyball, barbecuing, completing an art project, and watching movies!
After the visit, T.J. Valtierra, Little Earth Program Director, said the kids expressed having fun, wanting to visit camp more often, and that they enjoyed the peace they found in nature because they did not have to worry about the issues they typically would in a city environment.
