Kaleb* is a third-grade Club member. He has participated in our Literacy Program reading groups for the past year and has demonstrated great improvements in his independent reading skills. Kaleb leveled up from High Risk to Low Risk this summer, attending 88% of program days! His reading and spelling rates have become faster each day through fun sight word games and other hands-on activities in the classroom.
The Boys & Girls Club has sparked Kaleb’s love for reading and learning sight words. Like many other kids, Kaleb would not have had an opportunity to grow his academic skillset this summer without small-group programs and support from dedicated staff at the Boys & Girls Club.
