In the month of May, BGCTC hosted a camp for all teen club members across the Twin Cities, with the theme this year of team leadership. Over 50 club members were able to attend to learn about what leadership is, what their tendencies are, and how to exercise it. There were activities to educate on how to effectively communicate, relate to others, and prioritize mental health as a leader. The teens especially enjoyed the various workshops, with topics including healthy relationships, advocacy, mental health, and social media and branding. There were even some fun Survivor themed team challenges! This opportunity was not only a valuable learning tool, but also provided a sense of community within the teens across BGCTC. The youth were so inspired by their connections that they are taking the initiative to create more teen events in the future.
