This year, in partnership with the Minnesota Timberwolves, BGCTC had the amazing opportunity to implement a newly refreshed STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics) Lab space at our Jerry Gamble Club site. The upgrade enhances STEAM programming for Club members grades K-5. This incredible new space is equipped with cutting-edge tools including a 3D printer, VR headsets, and STEAM activity kits, providing youth with exciting opportunities to engage in hands-on learning.
Beyond the fun, youth are developing critical skills like problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork while boosting their confidence in science and math. The STEAM Lab is inspiring Success Ahead for the next generation of innovators!
BGCTC’s K-12 STEAM program combines innovation and creativity with enrichment activities in an out-of-school time environment. Hands-on activities build STEAM skills and knowledge while increasing youth interest, confidence, and performance in classes at school. The program introduces a diverse talent pipeline to high-demand STEAM careers and helps youth prepare for success in post-secondary education.
